The Indoor Big Bash league is proud to announce it’s young ambassadors. Maicol Javed who turns 16 in a few days and Ali Shah (15) are the upcoming stars from Luton and Watford respectively. The Indoor Big Bash has aims of hunting talent and supporting them all the way by getting them into trials and professional coaching through their network of current and ex professional players.
Name: Maicol Javed Age: 15 All Rounder
Maicol Javed is an allrounder who has had trials at Leicestershire County Cricket Club for the under 16’s and will be moving over to Leicester with a mission to make it to the top level. At a young age he had a passion for the game and since then his dad (Mohammed) has supported him fully even though he has a very busy schedule. Saqlain Mushtaq saw Maicol play in the nets a few years ago and encouraged him to continue playing and he hasn’t stopped! Now in high school he is looking forward to working hard and making his mark in Leicester where the Pakistani legend Saqlain Mushtaq lives when he is in England. Maicol is a pace bowler and bats at No. 3 we wish him the best of luck for the future and will continue to support him and monitor his progress!

Ali Shah is someone who has been improving year on year. He has had coaching sessions with the former Pakistani Legend Saqlain Mushtaq to further improve his bowling and has taken the Indoor Big Bash by storm this year. It is still early days but Ali Shah on more than one occasion has put in match winning performances and got his team out of pressure situations by getting crucial wickets to peg back the opposition. He gets the ball to turn significantly and has troubled batsman double his age. He is looking to impress at trials up and down the country so he can get a breakthrough and we at Indoor Big Bash will do all we can to help. Saqlain Mushtaq rates him highly and has told him to carry on playing and sooner rather than later the breakthrough will come. Keep up the good work Ali!
